Israel, the "Occupying Oppressor"

June 20, 2007 - News reports today confirm that Ehud Barak, the newly-appointed, Israeli Defense Minister has ordered the IDF to begin evacuating any of the "Palestinians" attempting to flee Gaza who require urgent medical attention into Israel through the Erez crossing. These are the same Arabs who, just over a year ago, democratically-elected a terrorist regime, whose charter openly advances an ideology committed to the eradication and annihilation of Israel, into public office shortly after Israel evacuated the region. Mind you, I realize, as Christians, we are to love our enemies, but I must say: Mr. Barak, you, sir, are a better man than I.

Here is where you'll find irony in its purest form. Through their own repetitive, tired accusations, the "Palestinians" have continually and emphatically labeled Israel as an "occupying oppressor"--guilty of untold, countless crimes of brutality against the Arabs within her borders. Yet, when true oppression comes raining down in the Gaza Strip at the hands of Hamas, to where is the first place these same "Palestinians" flee to safety?

Jerusalem Day: America Tips its Hand

"It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it." ~Zechariah 12:3

May 14, 2007 - As Israel prepares to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the reunification of its beloved, indivisible capital, Jerusalem, she was given a prophetic wake-up call, of sorts, from her presently-relevant friend to the West. The United States--an ally whose friendship with and support of Israel remains directly proportionate with her political obedience to President Bush's "vision" for a "Palestinian" state, provided a foreshadowing of things to come over the weekend by boycotting Wednesday's national celebration of the 40th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem under Israeli rule. Notice the use of the word "rule", and not "occupation"--the terminology of choice used by the global media coverage of this week's events. In so doing, America continues to pressure God's country with a clear message: "You must give up East Jerusalem." Read this article in its entirety: Jerusalem Day

Cause of Death: Apathy

May 10, 2007 - A 62-year old Israeli man was killed earlier this week in a town just south of Tel Aviv when his moped was struck while he attempted to pass a cement truck. In an age in which everyone is simply in a hurry to get nowhere--and fast--road fatalities are nothing new. In Israel, this incident only adds to an existing and unfavorable statistical record of traffic fatalities.

However, this particular incident warrants not only a second look, but deep scrutiny as well. As the video you are about to see shows (To view, click picture), Moshe Yisraeli is seen lying on his back in the middle of the street whilst bleeding to death as a seemingly endless caravan of rush hour drivers steer their vehicles around his body not with the intention of coming to his aid and possibly saving his life, but to avoid running him over as they apathetically and pathetically continued to their destinations.

It should be said that the video does indeed show multiple drivers who eventually stopped to assist Mr. Yisraeli, albeit it comprises a very small portion of the footage. However, the mere fact that, as he bled to death on his back in the middle of an intersection, several dozen drivers went out of their way to redirect their paths around his body without any intention of stopping makes this incident of "road apathy"very difficult to comprehend.

Such is the immoral nature of the immoral world in which we immorally live...

Have Done with Political CAIRrectness

May 9, 2007 - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has reportedly applauded the FBI's efforts in thwarting a potential terrorist massacre of US troops on the Fort Dix army installation in New Jersey. Yesterday, a group of Islamic militants who've become known as the "Fort Dix Six" were arrested after a clerk at a video store became suspicious when the group of wannabe-terrorists requested that the store convert several "jihad training" tapes to DVD format. The tapes contained footage of the group firing assault weapons at a firing range whilst yelling "Allahu Akbar".

In a press release distributed yesterday, CAIR--an Islamic civil rights advocacy group--stated the following: "We applaud the FBI for its efforts and repeat the American Muslim community's condemnation and repudiation of all those who would plan or carry out acts of terror while falsely claiming their actions have religious justification. We continue to urge American Muslims to be vigilant in reporting any suspected criminal activities that could harm the safety and security of our nation." This coming from the same civil rights group who recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of the "flying imams"--the six Muslims who were ejected from a flight on which they wreaked of suspicious activity--on the grounds of civil rights infringement they claim occurred when several, "vigilant" passengers reported their suspicious behavior. Can the store clerk who reported the suspicious actions of the "Fort Dix Six" look forward to a CAIR-free existence? How close did his political incorrectness come to making its way onto their legal "hit list"?

Of particular interest is the fact that of the "Fort Dix Six", five were foreign-born; three were illegal immigrants. But hey, let's not allow something so trivial as demographics of this nature get in the way of slappin' some social security benefits on those illegal immigrants. Right, Speaker Pelosi?

Also of particular interest was a statement made by Sohail Mohammed, a lawyer whose representation included numerous post-Sept 11 detainees. "...when the government says 'Islamic militants,' it sends a message to the public that Islam and militancy are synonymous. "Don't equate actions with religion," he said.

Yes, Americans, please refrain from blackening the eye of Islam. After all, what purpose is served when a clear connection is made linking the "religion of peace" with gun-toting, hate-spitting terrorist thugs who nefariously shout "Allahu Akbar!"(translation: "God is Great!") before escorting their victims, and themselves, to their eternal destinies?

This wreaks of political correctness. Don't tell me to what I should or should not equate the actions of a band of murderous zealots whose pervasive and vitriolic ideology speaks for itself. In this day and age, if it looks like a pig, smells like a pig, and squeals like a pig, a sequel to "Charlotte's Web" isn't too far behind.

M-i-c-k-e-y Jihad

May 6, 2007 - In their unceasing efforts to facilitate a generation forged from the fires of pure, unadulterated, antisemitic hatred, the terror organization Hamas has delved further into the realm of vitriolic stupidity. Using Al-Aqsa TV--the official Hamas television station--as its mode of delivery, the terror organization is now using their own version of Mickey Mouse--a clone named "Farfur"--to disseminate its venomous progaganda campaigns for the sole purpose of facilitating a generation that feels nothing but unscathing hatred for Israel and the United States. Pathetic. Just clicky on Mickey and see for yourselves.

Part III: "A lie, told a thousand times, is still a lie"

Final Installment: "Influx of Indignation"

"Indeed, we are the owners of the land and the legal truth, the owners of the independent homeland and the independent state. Therefore, with you and by means of you, and by means of our noble Arab and Islamic nation, and by means of freedom-seeking people in the world, we will establish our independent Palestinian nation and its holy capital of Jerusalem." - Yasser Arafat/September, 2001

April 25, 2007 - Of all the ministers of misinformation who made their way onto the world's stage in the post-Nazi era, none other was quite as cunning, conniving and, sadly enough, effective as Yasser Arafat--the Arab's version of Joseph Goebbels. This was a man who, time and time again, would walk through the front door disguised as a "peacemaker" only to slip out the back, with his Nobel Peace Prize in tow, as a reputed mass murderer who slaughtered innocent people, including women and children. As chairman of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, Arafat successfully fooled the world with a forked tongue, and although true Justice found Arafat after his death, his penchant for deception and treachery lived on through his successors. As such, the "big lie" remains in the open--alive and well as it continues its relentless pursuit of global deception.

The "Palestinians" pervasively and continually assert themselves as the rightful owners of the land of "Palestine". The "Palestinians" claim to be a "displaced" people--cast from an ancestral homeland that has been theirs "From Time Immemorial" (a phrase coined by author Joan Peters). On the wings of such deception, the "Palestinian" demand for an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital continues to soar and, in the eyes of the international community, sprout merit.

Even so, history tells an entirely different tale.

FALSEHOOD: The "Palestinians" are direct descendants of the ancient Philistines, and thus can subsequently trace their presence in the region to said time period.

HISTORICAL FACT: The ancient Philistines were not an Arab people, but were entirely Greek. These were "invaders" (as per the translation of "Philistine") from the Aegean who settled into the region we now know as Gaza. These people, who would later develop a slight case of extinction, remained at war with the Israelites--the region's inhabitants of the time.

FALSEHOOD: "Israel" does not exist, and "Palestine" is the only accurate name for this land.

HISTORICAL FACT: The term "Palestine" found its origin with the ancient Philistines. In a complete attempt to "cleanse" Judea of all that was Jewish, it was the Roman Emperor Hadrian who changed the biblical prideland's name from Judea to that which personified Israel's nastiest enemy of the time--the Philistines. As such, the region bore a new title, "Palaestina" which, quite literally, means, "Land of the Philistines". NOTE: PLAYERS INVOLVED: The Romans, the Jews, and the Philistines--the sea invaders from Greece. PLAYERS NEITHER INVOLVED NOR OBSERVED DURING THIS TIME PERIOD: The Arabs.

FALSEHOOD: Jerusalem represents Islam's third most "holy" city.

FACT: Here, you'll find deception in its purest form--the "Palestinian" claim on Jerusalem. Well documented is a "Palestinian" agenda which asserts that the region never belonged to the Jews. To facilitate this, they unequivocally deny the fact that a Jewish Temple once stood in Jerusalem. After all, to concede the truth would be an open acknowledgement of a Jewish connection to the Temple Mount--a reality emphatically refuted by the "Palestinians". Have you ever wondered why the Arabs, like clockwork, become radically "nervous" every time Jewish archaeologists start kicking up the soil around the Temple Mount? Have you found yourself entirely curious as to the reasons why the Arabs continue to dig around the Temple Mount area and remove its precious ruins?

The answer is clear: Every Jewish artifact found in this area justifies the presence of a Jewish Temple that once stood and, in the process, a Jewish connection to the time period. With East Jerusalem--the area in which the Temple Mount sits, as its "Palestinian" capital, the Arabs could effectively maximize their potential for deception, while suffocating the evidence that could blow it wide open.

Interestingly, "Jerusalem" is mentioned over 800 times in the Holy Scriptures. If Jerusalem were the third most holy city in all of Islam, then why is the Qu'ran completely devoid of any mention of it? Certainly the very city from which Mohammed supposedly ascended would merit a degree of mention somewhere on the pages of Islam’s "holiest" book?

FALSEHOOD: The "Palestinian" Arabs are the rightful owners of the land, for they inhabited the region before the Jews.

HISTORICAL FACT: Recorded history clearly shows the Arabs as a people who did not emerge in this region until midway through the 7th century. Yet, they boast incessantly of ties to the land that date back thousands of years. Perhaps the fairy tale most easily debunked, this nonsensical assertion stems from the elusive and mythical "Palestinian" Arab connection with the ancient Philistines (read: Greeks), which would essentially date their lineage to said time period. While recorded history remains incapable of doing the "Palestinians" any favors, it entirely and unequivocally supports a Jewish presence in this region--dating back some 2,000 years before the time of Christ. To those who would submit that the Holy Scriptures do not qualify as an authentic source of "recorded history", and subsequently do not represent legitimate evidence supporting such an early Jewish presence, consider the 19th-century discoveries of ancient Egyptian records clearly showing Israel as a well-established nation some 1,400 years before the time of Yeshua. Although this author sides entirely with Biblical record, both sources effectively neutralize any "Palestinian" claims that propagate a lack of a Jewish presence during this time. In all of recorded history, and through all the destruction and catastrophe that has come upon the Jewish people, they have always maintained a presence, albeit to a varying degree, in the land that is Israel.

To assert that the Arab people never had control of the land would be as false as the assertions claiming they inhabited it "from time immemorial". Recorded history will show this region in the hands of the Arabs during the centuries leading up to the Crusades, when control of Jerusalem became a "volley" between Christian and Muslim alliances, as well as the brief season leading up to the establishment of the Ottoman empire. Nonetheless, despite these times in which different nations established their dominion over the Holy Land, it never knew a time in which it was devoid of a Jewish presence. The Jewish people can claim an ancestral presence in this region that dates back some 3,300 years, and they would be historically accurate in doing so. The "Palestinians" can accurately lay claim to an Arab presence in the land of Israel dating back no earlier than the 7th century. To erroneously purport that they--the "Palestinians", inhabited this region before the Jewish people would be an inveracity of not only a historical nature, but of a mathematical one, as well.

FALSEHOOD: The "Palestinians" were displaced and uprooted from their land by the creation of the state of Israel in 1948.

HISTORICAL FACT: In the time period prior to Israel's rebirth, this region was a complete wasteland consisting of barren deserts and swamps. Numerous eyewitness accounts during this time period tell of a land in which there were very few people. Perhaps the most famous account came from none other than Mark Twain who, at the end of the 19th century, wrote of what he saw--or did not see, in this land--one in which a supposed Arab presence was plentiful, "One may ride ten miles hereabouts and not see ten human beings...Nazareth is forlorn . . . Jericho the accursed lies a moldering ruin today...There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere." (Twain, 1867) The time period surrounding the rebirth of Israel ushered in two historical changes. First, the Jewish people facilitated an agricultural overhaul of the land that gave birth to lush vegetation and abundant crops. Subsequently, this was followed by a mass influx of Arabs into Israel who saw an opportunity. History will show that on May 14, 1948--the day Israel became an independent, sovereign nation, the surrounding Arab countries of Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt and Saudi Arabia launched an invasion of the Jewish state. This was an invasion that would become a costly one at the hands of defeat, and it was Israel, outnumbered at an unprecedented ratio, who would emerge as the victor.

FALSEHOOD: Israel evicted the "Palestinian" Arabs from the land in 1948 and is subsequently to blame for the ongoing "Palestinian refugee" problem.

HISTORICAL FACT: Said Arabs were not evicted from the region by Israel. They fled. They were told by the surrounding countries--their own people--that an invasion was looming and that they should leave to avoid suffering casualties at the hands of said conflict. Indisputable evidence from political officials and historians--Arab and Israeli alike--support this fact. Fearing for their lives, nearly one million Jews were forced to flee the surrounding, hostile Arab countries. Historical record shows these people were efficiently and immediately absorbed, by Israel, with very little problem. However, can the same be said for the nearly 700,000 "Palestinian" Arabs who fled Israel--at the advice of their own countries? What became of them upon arrival in their homelands? History shows that, when their military initiatives failed, the surrounding Arab countries gave birth to a crisis that exists this very day. Specifically, they refused to absorb their own Arabs--these "refugees" who heeded their recommendation to flee a region soon to be engaged in war-- a war that, with every logistical certainty, should have been completed in short order. In so doing, they returned their Arabs to the land of Israel where they, to this day, live as "refugees" who blame Israel as the cause of their strife and insist they should be allowed to return to their purported "homeland". Such are the dynamics surrounding the elusive and unprocurable "Palestinian Right of Return".

The Arabs are the only people in recorded history to willfully and emphatically pass on their "refugee" status from generation to generation. Make no mistake; this is a wound that was self-inflicted, and where their soldiers failed, their lies have prevailed. Truth be told, there has never, in all of history, been a nation called "Palestine". Recorded history and the "Palestinian people" exist as total strangers unto each other.

Part II: "A lie, told a thousand times, is still a lie"

"Inveracity"

April 18, 2007 - The previous installment examined the effectiveness surrounding the dissemination of anti-Semitic propaganda by a conglomeration of Arabs who would call themselves, "Palestinians". Following the model of their Nazi predecessors, the Arabs have effectively unleashed a campaign of misinformation that has been heard and seen with a high degree of frequency. In so doing, they have not only shaped public opinion, but have also been extremely effective in garnering support sympathetic to an ideology that portrays them as "refugees" who have been somehow victimized and displaced by the creation of the Jewish state. In their refusal to recognize Israel's right to exist, they claim the region as their own--delving further into the nonsensical by referring to it as "Palestine". Behold, the lie--the inveracity in your midst.

And so, for the purposes of this writing, let us assume, if but for a moment, that we have the capability of "time travel" and have elected to transverse the millennia. The period in time is approximately 2,000 B.C. The location is the land of Canaan. What would we see?

We observe the presence of Canaanites who, as we advance to 1700 B.C., have been conquered by the first "Israelites"--Abraham and the Hebrews. Where are the Arabs? We observe, centuries later--nearly 1300 years before Yeshua walked the earth, in the region near "Schechem", a population of Hebrews--having been freed from Egyptian bondage by the Hand of God through Moses, crossing the Jordan River and entering "the Promised Land" in a region we know as Samaria. The Hebrews would live in conflict with the Canaanites for years to come. Nonetheless, there exists no historical record of this time period supporting the existence of an Arab people. Yet, according to today's "Palestinians", they roamed this land freely during this time.

In the centuries that followed, Israel would flourish as a nation--forged by the tenacity of Saul, the faith and courage of David, and the wisdom and brilliance of Solomon. However, for Israel, intense suffering and persecution would lie ahead in the coming seasons as she would become downtrodden by the Gentiles--enemies who would go on to destroy her eternal capital--Jerusalem, and its inhabitants, as well as the First and Second Temples. However, the same God whose Wrath punished Israel for her disobedience, would also be the One who would vindicate her in deliverance--time and time again. Over the span of millennia, the enemies of Israel would inevitably and undeniably come to know the exorbitant price of spilling Jewish blood. Among these were the Canaanites, the Amalekites and the Philistines. Moreover, the prophet Jeremiah prophesied that God will shelter His people, Israel, and destroy her enemies. (Jer. 30:11) Israel lived on and thrived, yet where is the empire of the Assyrians, today? Israel lived on and flourished, yet what became of the Babylonian empire? Israel lived on and blossomed, but did the Roman empire manage to keep pace? Israel is as strong as ever, but can the empire that was the Third Reich say the same?

The Jewish people would come to know bondage and death--from Babylon to Birkenau, on a level unseen by any other group of people, and they would experience much suffering. However, as is the nature of a God who never parts from His Promises, they would be restored to and flourish in their land each time. This was a truth foretold. Unlike the "Palestinian" myth that has been repeatedly and caustically advanced into the global "marketplace of ideas", it need not be said a thousand times to become defined as "truth". In fact, it needn't be said at all.

Next, Part III: "Influx of Indignation"

April 17, 2007

Part I: "A lie, told a thousand times, is still a lie"

"Indoctrination"

"Propaganda attempts to force a doctrine on the whole people. Propaganda works on the general public from the standpoint of an idea and makes them ripe for the victory of this idea." -Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf

April 16, 2007 - The vitriolically anti-Semitic propaganda campaigns disseminated by the Nazis in the 1930's, and throughout Ha'Shoah, were as effective as they were brilliant. By way of their complete domination and control of the German mass media, the Nazi propaganda machine facilitated an unprecedented and unchecked barrage of anti-Semitism that radically shaped public opinion. With Hitler's propaganda machine running at full-throttle, it wasn't long before the court of public opinion and Nazism's ministers of propaganda found themselves on the "same page".

Sadly, we know how this story ends. Over the span of a decade, while millions of Jews were brutally and systematically slaughtered in the Nazi death camps of Europe, the rest of the world--conditioned over time by the Nazi propaganda juggernaut to see the Jew as worthless and "subhuman", did absolutely nothing to neither prevent nor stop it. Himself a propaganda mastermind appointed by Hitler, it was Joseph Goebbels who testified to its effectiveness with his infamous statement: "Tell a lie enough times, and it becomes the truth."

Much like its Nazi predecessor, "The Big Lie" of today--a nonsensical fabrication spawned in the Middle East, has rapidly evolved into an Arab propaganda locomotive powered by the steam engines of anti-Semitic vitriol. The lie--this falsehood of our time, purports that the "Palestinians", a mythical people whose ancestral beginnings simply cannot be defined nor traced, were ejected from their own land--to which they refer as "Palestine", and thus were "victimized" by the creation of the state of Israel, in May, 1948. After failing miserably in their attempts to militarily eradicate the Jewish state, the Arab countries surrounding Israel subsequently and collectively unleashed their propaganda juggernaut into the international marketplace of ideas, where it has been globally fruitful. Seen as "refugees" unable to "return" to a land they claim as their own, the "Palestinians" have an international community--to include the United Nations, the mass media, top universities and seminaries and, of course, Jimmy Carter, in their corner.

With foreign governments--including that of the United States, and a global media sympathetic to the "Palestinian cause", Israel continues to become increasingly pressured to relent and concede--relinquishing more of her land to a conglomeration of Arabs sworn to her demise. "The Big Lie" of today represents a propaganda machine that, once again, has swayed public opinion in favor of all that is anti-Semitic. Once again, the Jews have witnessed an international community caustically aligning itself against them--effectively pushing the Jewish people not into the mass graves of genocide, but to the brink of demographic suicide.

Part II: What is Happening in the Gaza Strip?

"I will gather all nations
and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
There I will enter into judgment against them
concerning my inheritance, my people Israel,
for they scattered my people among the nations
and divided up my land." Joel 3:2

April 9, 2007 - Earlier last week, PA President Abbas and Hamas Prime Minister Haniyeh joined a massive Arab delegation--22 member states comprising the Arab League, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the sole purpose of reviving and activating the "Arab Peace Initiative". As it were, this "peace" proposal--dormant since 2002 because of Israeli objections to its ludicrous demands that would put the Jewish state at a decisive disadvantage, would once again promise "a normalization of relations" with what is now a much weaker and desperate Israeli government in response to Israeli's full withdrawal to its pre-1967 borders. Furthermore, the Arab Peace Initiative would require Israel to come to the bargaining table to negotiate and facilitate the instant infusion and assimilation of an overwhelming population of Arabs into Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem, becoming demographically-outnumbered in the process.

As discussed at length in previous articles, this would effectively and quite literally line the streets of Jerusalem and her surrounding areas with hundreds of thousands of hostile, Arab militants--most of whom subscribe to the destructive ideologies of Hamas and the PA. Make no mistake, the closed-door discussions that took place in Riyadh last week were carried out by those committed not to the establishment of a "Palestinian" state, but to the destruction of the Jewish state, and you need look no further than the Hamas charter to discover it.

Facilitated by its chief proponents--of whom are Condoleezza Rice and the E.U., this deceptive, Arab "olive branch" would effectively place the pressure and onus on a weak Israeli Prime Minister, whose most recent approval ratings at home have plummeted to single digits, to engage in peace negotiations with Israel's sworn enemies, effectively committing national and political suicide in the process.

Precisely as the Arab delegation met in Riyadh to discuss their destruction of the Jewish state, the walls of a waste storage facility in northern Gaza gave way, effectively flooding the region with up to 2 feet of raw sewage, causing numerous deaths and injuries, along with the immediate and imminent possibility of an outbreak of disease and contamination. Furthermore, the UN issued warnings of another imminent and much larger waste storage collapse that could effectively push the region into a full-blown humanitarian crisis. The U.N. also made known its well-documented history of warnings that showed the probability of such an imminent disaster. And so, the questions remain: Why wasn't the situation rectified beforehand? The P.A. has collectively received millions of dollars in foreign aid in recent years, along with the sporadic release of "Palestinian" tax dollars at the behest of the Israeli government. Hamas--"the new sheriff in town" since January, 2006, has received tens of millions of dollars in foreign aid from its Arab counterparts, to include Iran. Where has the money gone? Hamas claims to have no funds with which to fix the sanitation crisis and feed its people. Ironically enough, this is a "government" that somehow found the means to hire tens of thousands of militant soldiers, along with the resources necessary to equip them. Furthermore, so "destitute" was the Hamas government that it miraculously facilitated the purchases of tons of explosives, munitions, and weapons, as well as the advanced technologies with which to improve its arsenal of Qassam rockets, which continue to be fired daily into Israel. At the end of the day, what you have is a government firmly established upon an ideology sworn to facilitate the destruction of Israel by any means necessary--even if it effectuates the destruction of its own people and the welfare of its society. Case in point: This story broke just days after the waste facility catastrophe. Do you still disagree?

PERSPECTIVE: The Hand of God is moving. Deny it if you wish. Turn a blind eye to it if you must. However, the timing of the above events--and many like them that have led to the radical decline, if not extinction, of the Holy One of Israel's sworn enemies simply cannot be sequestered. This region's history is one that has seen every prime minister, president, and/or peace envoy--friend or foe, that would advance a doctrine that compromises God's plan for Israel, become radically in touch with an untimely delay and/or demise, effectively derailing said doctrine in the process. God has a plan for His people, and business with His Land--yet to be transacted. By His Hand, His people were dispersed across the four winds in centuries past. By His Will, they have been regathered in and restored to their land--a land promised to them. Through His Promises, they shall remain there--never again to be uprooted. His bidding will not be thwarted.

April 8, 2007

Part I: What is happening in the Gaza Strip?

April 8, 2007 - There's nothing worse than a fool with a cause. It's been well over a year since terrorist thugs were seen dancing in the streets of Gaza City, indiscriminately capping off AK-47 rounds into the skies over southern Israel in celebration of their victory over the Palestinian Authority's Fatah party. The outcome of the Gaza elections in late January of 2006 represented a widely-publicized, unprecedented turn of events in which the "Palestinian" people--or should I say, the conglomeration of Arabs in Southern Israel, democratically elected and thus chose a terrorist organization, Hamas, as the governing body that would lead them to days of social, political and economic bliss. What the citizens of Gaza failed to consider--or should I say, turned a blind eye to, was the true ideology behind Hamas, and the lengths to which "the new kids on the block" were prepared to go in order to facilitate it.

Fourteen months later, gone are the days in which the people of Gaza expected radical change in the form of positive, social and economic reform. Moreover and quite literally, gone are the days in which the Arab people in Gaza could expect a paycheck for hours worked. The situation in Gaza has now evolved into a humanitarian crisis--one on a scale so dangerous that even the U.N. has threatened to withdraw its people from the region. As you will soon see, the Hamas government's infatuation with the elimination of Israel has blinded them to the welfare of their own people and, subsequently and quite literally, has landed them in deep "crap". Read this article in its entirety: Gaza Strip Part I

April 1, 2007

The Difference Between Love and Hate

April 1, 2007 - Earlier today, as I perused through my email and the various news headlines of the day over morning coffee, I happened upon two news stories that, after reading them both, left me...well, they left me synergistically befuddled. You see, each of these two stories, of which you will, after reading this article, gain a better understanding, are nothing new nor surprising when read and considered independently of one another. The events and circumstances found in each, individual article could be considered, by and large, everyday occurrences in the land of Israel, as evidenced by what we see on televisions and read in newspapers. However, after reading these two headlines within seconds apart, I became confused and perplexed. You see, these two headlines, in and of themselves, tell the whole story.

The first article, entitled "Hamas Threatens Israel", was one riddled with hatred, disdain, vitriol and incitement as Abu Ubaida, spokesman of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, warned and threatened an Israeli, as it were, "occupation": "We will turn the Strip into a graveyard for soldiers of the occupation...", he said, "The Palestinian resistance is ready to deal with this aggression...We will teach the enemy a lesson and send him home disappointed, just like many times before. We have nothing to lose..." This is, of course, in response to a potentially imminent Israeli incursion into the Gaza Strip aimed at putting an end to the onslaught of Qassam rockets that continue to be fired into southern Israel by Hamas militants. I know, such hatred on behalf of "Palestinian" militants towards the Jewish state hardly qualifies as "unique", nor is the nonstop barrage of rockets being launched from the Gaza Strip into Israel. My sentiments exactly, but then my eyes immediately met the headline for article #2.

The antithesis of its predecessor, the second article was one of compassion, courage and perseverance. While the first article wreaked of venom and hatred, the second embraced a loving kindness that, quite frankly, evades human understanding. The second headline, entitled, "Israeli Ambulance Saves Palestinian Baby", told of how a bullet-proof Israeli ambulance entered the "Palestinian" territory of Ramallah in order to evacuate and thus save the life of a critically injured, six-month old, "Palestinian" infant. Thought to be the victim of poisoning, the infant was transported by the Israeli ambulance to the Chaim Sheva Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, where the Israeli medical team promptly and professionally (as indicated by eyewitnesses) handed over the child along with all medical documents.

I think you know where I'm going with this. Fathom, if you can, a scenario in which the circumstances were reversed--a scenario, as it were, in which an Israeli infant was on the fringe of death and the only timely medical response available was situated in Gaza City. As saddening as it may be, the reality of such a fabrication is that the infant would be lost, and its death would be a trophy headline that very evening on Al Jazeera television.

An expected response from the "Palestinian" side to this heroic act of courage on behalf of the Israeli medical workers, whom effectively saved the life of the Palestinian infant, would be one of gratitude--one of thanks. Quite contrarily, the "Palestinian" Ministry of Health had this to say in response, "all humanitarian matters, especially those concerning human lives, should be separated from political issues." Fair enough, but I ask you, would the "Palestinians" abide by that logic? If you do not have an answer, then consider the outcome, and subsequent "Palestinian" response, if the infant had died.

March 28, 2007

Condi, you're on the clock.

March 28, 2007 - The sands of the hourglass are approaching a critically low level for this administration. With regards to its Middle Eastern foreign policy, there is one thing--perhaps THE only thing of which they can be certain: Time is running out, and the window of opportunity is about to shatter. That is the only explanation for the direction the Bush administration has chosen as they continue to push Israel toward her destruction under the guise of the facilitation of "peace".

In the media spotlight which illuminates the region's current peace process stands one Condoleezza Rice, whose preoccupation with facilitating the elusive "two-state solution" between Israel and the "Palestinians"--an objective the Bush administration has, in the past, branded as its "cornerstone", has rapidly evolved into an obsession--one that must come to fruition regardless of the degree to which it compromises Israel's national security. Throughout history, the Middle East peace process has proven to be a "Pandora’s box" to those leaders who would advance a doctrine that seeks to facilitate peace at the expense of Jewish blood. As such, the future will become most unfavorable for the Bush administration and specifically, Condoleezza Rice, should they choose to continue treading in the dangerous waters in which they have so willfully placed themselves.

If only for a season, the future could not look anymore promising for the so-called "Palestinians" and an ideology predicated upon the so-called "liberation" of so-called "Palestine" from a so-called "illegal occupation". Under the guise of the erroneously-coined "Arab Peace Plan"--an initiative formulated in 2002 by the members of the Arab League, and the "Palestinian unity government"--a terrorist tag team of sorts consisting of a recent merger between the PA's Fatah and Hamas, the Jewish state is right where they want her: against the ropes and forced to make a decision. Under this plan, Israel would FIRST withdraw from much of Judea and Samaria (although the politically-correct dolts would prefer you use the term, "West Bank"), turn the Golan Heights back over to Syria, and hand over East Jerusalem to the Palestinians which would serve as the "capital" of what would be a newly-created "Palestinian" state. In so doing, Israel would become instantly infused with millions of hostile Arabs, who have garnered sympathy from the international community for years as self-imposed "refugees", with an "all or nothing" philosophy.

AFTER Israel complies with these requirements, her enemies will agree to peace negotiations designed to facilitate "normal relations" between the Jewish state and her Arab neighbors. "Normal" relations. Nowhere under this plan is the unity government required to adhere to the three conditions, as outlined by the Quartet's "Roadmap for Peace": the affirmation of Israel's right to exist, the abandonment of terrorism, and the adherence to prior peace agreements. Quite frankly, for Israel to ink its signature on such a plan would be the literal signing away of her existence--IF the Arabs had their way. Israel's agreement to the plan's requirements would make her borders completely indefensible, and would be nothing short of political suicide.

The Arab world will undoubtedly relish the position in which they find themselves, and they should. After all, it's a "win-win" for them. If Israel caves under the pressure from the West, something Ehud Olmert does too well, then her enemies will have effectively redrawn the frontlines of the war against Israel by bringing it right into the streets of Jerusalem. Furthermore, the strategic value of the Golan Heights will have been turned over to Syria--a country with which Israel is still technically at war. Conversely, should Israel reject the Arab Peace Plan, then they will be seen, by the international community, as a country that refuses to live at peace with her neighbors. At the end of the day, Israel had her chance for "peace", but refused it. The Palestinian "unity government" will effectively garner accolades and sympathy for Israel's rejection of their "olive branch". Boycotts would be lifted. Intifadas and terrorist incursions would be launched. As recently as today, the Saudi foreign minister was quoted as stating if Israel refused said peace initiative, her fate will be determined by the "lords of war". PA Chairman Abu Mazen (aka Mahmoud Abbas) was quoted as saying this is Israel's last chance to live "in a sea of peace".

And there, essentially shoving the "cyanide capsule" down the throat of the Jewish state, sits Condoleezza Rice--who as recently as today felt compelled to remind the world that the Bush administration "still has 18 months" in which to facilitate peace in the Middle East through the "two-state solution". Time is running out, Condi. Your legacy, and that of your employer is at stake here. You're on the clock.

The Christian Zionist: Hated by the World, Blessed by God

March 15, 2007 - "Christian Zionism": Some folks, unaware of the term's definition, never get past its pronunciation before walking the other way. "It sounds so extreme and fanatical.", they'll undoubtedly retort. The ill-informed will often ask, "What does 'Zionism' have to do with being a Christian?" The answer is quite simple, as you will soon see, and once Christians begin focusing less on the nomenclature, and more on the true, literal meaning of what it means to be a "Christian Zionist", they will soon realize that these are a blessed group of people. They are "blessed" because they bless. They bless because they love His people, and in doing so, are hated for it. Read this article in its entirety: TheChristianZionist

Aish.com Stands Up to Ahmadinejad

February 24, 2007 - Despite the IAEA's recent findings indicating Iran has expedited its efforts in uranium enrichment, Aish.com--the highly-acclaimed (3-time recipient of USA TODAY's "Hot Site" Award) Jewish supersite headquartered in Jerusalem, recently took a significant step toward making this world--particularly the state of Israel, a much safer place by posting a video drawing chilling comparisons between Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Adolph Hitler.

The 2-minute video, also available in our media center, places the spotlight on haunting similarities between the internationally-unchecked rise of Hitler, and the global community's similar, apathetic response to Ahmadinejad's bloodlust for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. The video makes a compelling argument in favor of Ahmadinejad being brought up on charges for inciting genocide, and concludes by affording viewers an opportunity to sign an international petition geared toward facilitating said legal proceedings.

I encourage you to take this time to view this brief, albeit insightful presentation. Click on the picture entitled, "Standing Up To Ahmadinejad". I think you will find it most interesting.
