November 26, 2007 - While it certainly comes as no surprise, the Vatican, who just recently made a public statement describing the status of relations between Israel and Rome as "worsening", has recently added itself to an already extensive "Guest List" of nations, institutions and other governing bodies who are, even as we speak, descending upon the city of Annapolis--the site of Tuesday's Middle East peace summit. Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Monsignor Parolin, according to Vatican officials, will be making the trip to Annapolis at the behest of his boss, Pope Benedict XVI.
When you see the Guest List, you will know it is one on which the Vatican belongs.
